Bethune-Cookman Defeats Arkansas-Pine Bluff - Sept 12, 2004
PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Capping off a week of adversity in triumph, Bethune-Cookman pulled away from a 3-0 halftime lead to defeat Arkansas Pine-Bluff, 27-14, before 9,263 in the Arkansas Classic.

Leaving a campus that was powerless and damaged by Hurricane Frances, the Wildcats arrived in Arkansas on Tuesday to prepare for a game that became their season opener after the Sept 4. matchup with Savannah State was cancelled.

Finding a way to win, the Wildcats put up 24 points in the third quarter, getting a 38-yard interception return from Nick Collins and a 100-yard Ricky Williams kickoff return that helped Bethune-Cookman take a 27-7 lead after three quarters.... more
