Morgan Outlasted By Gardner-Webb Air Assault - Sept 12, 2004
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Morgan State had a chance to get off to its first 2-0 start since 1990. However, the Bears (1-1, 0-0 MEAC) turned the ball over four times and missed three extra points as Gardner-Webb held on for a 56-49 victory Saturday night in Hughes Stadium in front of 4,156 fans.

Gardner-Webb built a 56-36 lead with under 10 minutes to play, and overcame late miscues to win their first game of the season.

MSU quarterback Bradshaw Littlejohn had a big night. Littlejohn completed 20-of-46 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another. The senior also had three interceptions, one of which was picked off by Bulldog cornerback Allen Davis and returned for a 29-yard touchdown.... more
